Bridge in Kingston Every Monday and Wednesday Afternoon
There is bridge for newer players every Monday and Wednesday in Kingston.
The Monday sessions (from 1.15pm-3.45pm) are at The Willoughby Arms, a pub in the residential streets a short walk from Kingston town centre [47 Willoughby Road, Kingston, KT2 6LN]. This is "gentle duplicate" suitable for first time duplicate players and advice and support are available throughout. We are always delighted to see new players and you are welcome to join this group if you can manage the basics. No partner required, we offer a hosting system to guarantee everyone gets a game. Please support the pub for your refreshments (tea, coffee, bar snacks available as well as bar drinks) and do not consume food or drink (even bottled water) bought elsewhere.1.15pm-3.45pm. The Wednesday sessions (from 1.30pm-4.00pm) are at The United Reformed Church, right in the heart of Kingston town centre [47 Eden Street, Kingston, KT1 1HZ]. This is social duplicate bridge. This is now quite an experienced group and an exciting introduction to the world of club duplicate bridge. All welcome, no membership required, friendly ambience guaranteed, partners found for all single players. . 130pm-4.00pm. Fee £8.00 per session. Host: Ned Paul.
Bridge in Chiswick Every Tuesday Afternoon
A daytime group meets every Tuesday 2.00pm-4.30pm for supervised social bridge at Chiswick Tennis Club, Burlington Lane, Chiswick W5 3EU. This is close to Chiswick BR station and on the E3 and 190 bus routes. There is unrestricted street parking in the non-residential part of nearby Staveley Road.
We play supervised bridge, suitable for newer and improving players. New members of the group are always welcome, we may be able to integate beginners, please enquire. There is no membership fee. Session fee: £8. Host: Ned Paul.
Bridge in Richmond Every Thursday Morning
A larger long-established social bridge group. 9.30am-12noon every Thursday. Venue is the Church Hall, Our Lady Queen of Peace, 222 Sheen Road, Richmond, Surrey TW10 5AN. Pleasant airy, modern hall with large free car park or buses from central Richmond, Barnes, Putney etc.
Host Ned Paul gives a short formal lesson at approx 10.00am on different aspects of bidding, play and defence. For the remainder of the session, the host circulates and expert advice is available as required. This group has grown strongly in attendance over the last couple of years but new players are still welcome. You don't need a pre-arranged partner, simply join the next available table. Fee: £7 per session including refreshments (tea/coffee etc and biscuits).
Bridge in Notting Hill Every Wednesday Evening
One of our groups meets for bridge every Wednesday at the Walmer Castle pub, 58 Ledbury Road, London W11 2AJ, walkable from Notting Hill Central Line station. Buses 23, 27, 28, 328. Street parking is possible in the side streets and free after 6.30pm. Bridge starts at 7.30pm and we play until about 10.00pm.
We play in the upstairs bar. Food is available and many players arrive early and enjoy a pub meal before their bridge.
New players are welcome: you do not need to have played club bridge before and novices and refreshers are encouraged to take their first steps into club bridge with this group.
Come with partner if you have one, but single players are paired up and everyone is guaranteed a game. Fee is £10.00 per player per session. Regular host is India Leeming. Victor Lesk, Ned Paul and Kit Jackson also host.
Bridge in Balham Every Monday and Tuesday Morning
There is bridge in the morning every Monday and Tuesday at The Bedford, a pub in the centre of Balham, South London [77 Bedford Hill, Balham, SW12 9HD]. Nearest station Balham (Northern line or BR to/from Clapham Junction). Please support the pub by enjoying a cup or two of coffee with your bridge. Bridge players are always welcome to stay for The Bedford's delicious lunches as well.
A choice of supervised social bridge or supervised gentle duplicate both very suitable for new or new-ish players. We meet 10.00am-12.00pm. Fee £10.00 per session. Host: Kit Jackson. Coaching for beginners can be arranged - please ask about joining.

Bridge in Canary Wharf Every Monday Evening
You can play bridge every Monday evening in the Canary Wharf area. It's normally just social bridge of varying standard but once a month there is duplicate bridge. Bridge in Paddington Alternate Saturday Evenings
An informal bridge group suitable for all standards meets alternate Saturday evenings at the Bathurst Deli (3 Bathurst Street, London W2 2SD). New members of the group are always welcome.
